Author Guidelines

Papers are solicited pertaining to gerontechnology, automation in construction, robotics in construction and other collaborations of technology and gerontology.

General

  • Make sure your title preferably does not contain more than 7 words
  • Do not forget to enter ALL authors in the submission procedure, and not only the corresponding one!
  • Write short sentences in international English
  • Each author is allowed a maximum of 2 abstracts; more abstracts should be submitted by additional registered authors
  • Please read the ISG*ISARC2912 review procedure

Abstracts for an Oral Presentation
Please download this template and use it for your abstract submission for an oral presentation.
Submissions that are not using this template, will be rejected. Closing date for the submission of abstracts is March 1, 2012. Presenters are required to take a PowerPoint presentation to the conference.

Abstract for a Leading-Edge Technology Event
Please download this template and use it for your abstract submission a demonstration of your well-tested prototype to be discussed together with a poster of your work. Submissions that are not made in this template, will not be accepted. In case of an accepted abstract for a Leading-Edge Technology Event, the author will have to inform the organizers if they need internetconnectivity for their prototype, and if they plan to supply an app to enable the participants to have interaction with the prototype. Closing date for the submission of abstracts is March 1, 2012. In addition to an app or prototype, presenters of leading-edge technologies should also bring a poster (A1 size) to the conference to support their oral communication.

Abstract for the GeronTechnoPlatform:
You can submit an abstract for a demonstration on the GeronTechnoPlatform, in case succesfull user-studies (with actual end-users) are available. Please donwload and use this template. The abstract describes background, methodology and results of user studies with products or services that the submitter intends to show on the GeronTechnoPlatform, either in a virtual visit or a video. Submissions that are not made in this template, will not be accepted. In case of an accepted abstract for the GeronTechnoPlatform you should choose between: (i) contacting us to schedule a virtual visit or demonstation during the conference, or (ii) send us by surface mail your video in DVD (PAL) format, as well as a link to the You-Tube version of your video to be reviewed. Closing date for the submission of abstracts is April 1, 2012.

Accepted abstract and You-Tube links will be made available to readers on the conference website as soon as one of the authors of the abstracts has paid his/her conference participant dues.

Abstract Symposium proposal:
Please use this template to propose a symposium at the conference, also mentioning 4 titles and 4 speakers at the proposed symposium. Acceptance is a two-step process. First the abstract of the overall topic of the symposium has to be accepted, subsequently each of the 4 speakers uploads his/her abstract for peer-review. Submission that are not prepared in the templates, will not be accepted. Closing date for symposium proposals is May 1, 2011.

Full papers:
You can only submit a full paper after you have submittted an abstract first, and only when this abstract is accepted. Please donwload and use this template for your full paper.  Together with a full paper you may also submit supplementary files, such as short viddeo's or raw data.

Accepted full papers are available at the conference website, from the first day of the conference. Papers must be submitted before April 1, 2012.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is based on one of the template files that can be downloaded here. No changes have been made in the template's margins, fonts, etc.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g. http://www.isg-isarc2012.org) are activated and ready to click.
